Strange days, indeed.
I could have sworn I saw a new girl flitting around the Klub looking for a job. Poor Rosie was so upset...the girl's mother wanted Rosie to take care of her. Not the most comfortable situation here. Luckily Marie and Kisa offered to take her off her hands.
And then there are the rest of the girls. We don't see much of Frenchie these days because her mother was in a bit of an accident and she has to take care of her. My dearest Liza may be leaving altogether in a month. I hear that little Helga has been incapacitated by a fever. And now...now the Director left today rather suddenly... She did not say why, and she was in a rush and seemed in distress, so I refrained from asking. She did not say when she would be back either. This agitates me as much as her abrupt departure...and the look in her eyes when she pulled away.
I must admit...each time I am around her...it becomes increasingly difficult for me to keep my deeper feelings for her subdued.
